Shopping is fun but can be very addictive as well. I have heard people tell me that shopping is their hobby.
Most of the time, we shop not because we need these items but because we want them.  Shopping should not give you headaches as long as you know how to budget. Sometimes while on shopping,  household budget is sacrificed. Lol


Here are some things you need to keep in mind while going on a shopping spree.


1. Make A List. Always remember to spend your money wisely whenever you go shopping. Always buy what you need not what you want, bring only the exact amount of money you need in buying your items. Make a list to ensure you only buy what you need and not what you want.


2. Compare Prices: It is advisable that you compare prices from different stores before buying an item. Do not limit yourself to just one store. There are stores that offer the same quality but can have a lower price. A smart thing you may do is to be attentive to the prices of the items that you buy regularly when shopping. There are instances that a store has an untimely change of prices on different items.

3. It is recommended that you do your shopping during the end of the season. Prices of many items, especially clothes, are very low and affordable during this time of the year.


4.  Don't be deceived by sales. You may shop in dollar stores where you can find items that are on sale and where prices are low. But for novice shoppers  this is risky, as  this sales can make them spend unnecessarily on items they want and don't need because the items are super cheap. These stores can provide you the best prices that can cope with your budget.

5 Do not shop when you are bored. It is not advisable to  shop when you are bored. The silliest purchase normally happens when you shouldn't even be shopping. If you and your friends are bored and looking for some fun activities to do the last thing to think of is to run to a mall. You can do other fun things like go see a movie.


6.Try to find discount stores that sell quality items but at affordable price on your desired item. The prices on discount stores may vary depending on the season of the year. These stores can be located in large shopping areas like in malls and shopping complex/galleries.


7. Pick your shopping friends wisely. You know your friends so you should go shopping with the one that gives an honest opinion about what you want to purchase. Not all friends are shopping buddies, some of them are shopaholics and love it when you spend money because it makes them feel better about their own purchase. So hit the mall with a friend that wouldn't pressurize you in buying anything and everything.
